KYWS-849／The original form of ”Kabuki Odori" dance has "Yayako Odori" dance at its base and was created by a female dancer in Azuchi-Momoyama period (1568 – 1600). It's considered to be the roots of the Kabuki theater. Geiko from Ponto-cho in a shrine maiden's uniform, beats a small gong along with their dance.
*Hanagasa Junko on 24th July is a procession of floats during the Gion Festival. After the procession dedication of dances by Geiko and Maiko of the four Hanamachi districts take place in Yasaka Shrine. "Kabuki Odori" by Ponto-cho Geiko, "Komachi Odori" by Gion-higashi Maiko, "Suzume Odori" by Gion-koubu Maiko and "Konchiki Ondo" by Miyagawa-cho Maiko.
