Stole／Ryoanji Temple

Ripples and rocks in the famous zen garden are expressed by stripes and Tai dyeing.

In order to make the lines design at the same intervals as the ripples gaps, we measured the gaps between teeth of a garden rake used for making ripple marks in zen garden. Our Banshu-ori stoles are woven in Hyogo and tie-dyed in Kyoto.
