Salted roes of herring. Also called yellow diamond. Topped with dried bonito flakes.

Called "Kazu no ko" in Japanese which comes from "Kado no ko" named after "Kado" herring. People used to ferment fish with rice for preservation before Edo style sushi appeared around 1716.

The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under iron when ironing and be extra careful in the case of heat-sensitive materials. Machine-stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
