Salmon "Sake" is a migratory fish that reaches up to 1 m in length. Hatched in a rivers they swim back to the sea. When mature they return to a river swimming upstream to lay eggs. Important food source and considered to be healthy due to high protein, omega-3 , and high vitamin D. Salmon have been important food source that begin way back in the Jomon period about 10,000 years ago.
