Stole／Bakeneko the goblin cat

This striking stole features a bold embroidery of a bakeneko (mythical shape-shifting cat) holding a herring in its mouth. The eyes are created using patchwork, while the rest of the design is embroidered with chain stitching.

For this unique stole, we used Banshu-ori fabric from Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture. Known for its fluffy, voluminous texture, this fabric is also remarkably light and airy, making it particularly desirable in the realms of traditional Japanese textiles and high-quality fabric.
