With eyes on the head, the court goldfish look up the sky but have a bad eyesight.

Some say they were developed by growing in deep vases with narrow openings, others say they were mutated from Telescope Ranchu. Called "Court Goldfish" in China which was never taken out of the castle in Qing Dynasty. Imported to Japan around 1870.
