A calico cat, "Mike" is playing with 2 dried bonitos fish.Traveling cats were drawn in the Edo period by Ukiyo-e artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa. Kuniyoshi likened 55 comically twisted gestures of cats with famous stations names on the historical Tokaido road . The series is known as "Myokaiko Gojusanbiki".
