Sweatshirt／Fortune Extortion Cat: The Boss

This embroidered sweatshirt features Fortune Extortion Cat: The Boss by artist Hakuaki, with embroidery on both the front and back.

Unlike a traditional lucky cat (maneki-neko) that invites good fortune, this cat takes a more direct approach. A yusuri-neko, or "extortion cat," it isn't content to attract its own luck. Instead, it demands everyone else's as well. With the commanding presence of a gang boss and a mischievous sense of humor, this design playfully turns one of Japan's most familiar good-luck symbols on its head.

Created in collaboration with Hakuaki, a Japanese artist known for handcrafted cat sculptures with the look and texture of ancient artifacts. Although a family member's cat allergy prevents them from living with cats, their affection for cats finds expression through imagination and art.

Featuring embroidery on both the front and back, this sweatshirt combines bold character design with Hakuaki's unique blend of humor, folklore, and cat obsession.
