Patch／Tamagotake Mushroom

In summer and fall. Beautiful bright red cap from an "eggshell". Taste good. Edible. "Half-dyed Slender Caesar" in the Amanitaceae family. Recently selected as one of Japan 100 most famous mushrooms. Mushroom series is inspired by an old "Illustrated Guide to Herbal Medicine" by Kanen Iwasaki from the Edo Period (1603-1867).
