Eel "Unagi" is about 1 m long. It have a thin cylindrical-shaped body. Hatched in the sea and swim upstream to freshwater areas. Nocturnal and carnivorous. Rich in vitamin, they are popular in summer. A special cuisine during the "Ox day" a tradition that started over 300 years ago, is believed to bring good fortune, strength and vitality.
