Patch／Tuna

Tuna "Maguro" is about 3 m in length. This spindle shaped fish have small eyes and swim fast. Used to be called "Shibi", they have been a food sorce been important food source that begin way back in the Jomon period about 10,000 years ago. Popular for sashimi, and sushi. 90 % of tuna in Japan are eaten raw. Bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, big eye tuna, albacore tuna, long tailed tuna are seen in waters near Japan.
