September 15 marks the Mid-Autumn Festival. In Japan, it is said that there has been a tradition of admiring the moon since the Jomon period. In places where the moon is visible, pampas grass is decorated, and offerings such as tsukimi dango (moon-viewing dumplings), sweet potatoes, beans, and chestnuts are presented as a gesture of gratitude for the autumn harvest. It is also believed that a rabbit resides on the moon. This scene of moon-viewing has been beautifully embroidered.
