Gyuhi rice cake for summer. Wrapped in a sponge cake, marked with an eye and a fin.

A sponge cake baked by mixing flour and eggs and shaped into an semi-circle. There are various facial expressions to be marked. Sold in June when the fishing starts. Mochi stuffing is used around Kyoto while bean paste is used around Tokyo.

■Attention

The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under iron when ironing and be extra careful in the case of heat-sensitive materials. Machine-stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
