Patch／Motofutoiguchi Mushroom

Summer to fall. Grows on white-birch trees. Less tasty. Toxic when raw.
Family of Boletaceae. White stems of the embroidery mushrooms turn to purple when exposed to ultraviolet lights. Easily ironed. Mushroom series is inspired by an old "Illustrated Guide to Herbal Medicine" by Kanen Iwasaki from the Edo Period (1603-1867).

■Attention

The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. UV thread are used for white parts. Be careful in the case of heat-sensitive materials.

UV thread are heat-sensitive materials. Use a damp cloth with low-ironing as threads may melt with hot-ironing. Machine-stitch is recommended to enhance strength.
