Patch／Hypselodoris festiva

Found in shallow coastal waters of Japan, this distinctive sea slug grows to about 2–4 cm. Known as one of the most familiar species in Japan, it features a vivid blue body edged in yellow, with a single yellow line along its back surrounded by small yellow spots.

With its smooth, compact form, it moves slowly across rocky surfaces and beneath stones. It feeds exclusively on a specific type of sponge, and is commonly found in shallow coastal areas south of Honshu.

Inspired by these vivid natural colors, the patch is made with detailed embroidery and layered textures inspired by the vivid colors of the sea slug. Designed for versatile use, it can be applied as an iron-on patch or used as a sticker.
