Salted or soy marinated salmon eggs. "Ikura" in Japanese comes from Russian.

Battle ship rolls that look like battle ships from the side. Best in October trough November. The eggs are very soft before salmon runs up a river. People used to ferment fish with rice for preservation before Edo style sushi appeared around 1716.
