A kind of gourds grown in Katsura area. Pickled in sake lees.

Grown in Katsura area for many years. Have a light green skin and white inside. Crunchy texture. Good for pickles and stewed dishes as it can be flavored easily. Lands should be allowed to lie fallow for 7 years once growing Katsura gourds.
