About 14 cm long. Breaded as pets after brought to Europe from the Canary Islands. Arrived to Japan between 1603-1867 and quickly became popular because of its bright yellow colors and clear beautiful voices. Also used to detect toxic gases in mines as it is sensitive to gases.
