Patch／Striped Beakfish

Striped Beakfish "Ishi-dai" can reach up to 80 cm in length and has a beak like mouth with many teeth. The black stripes on the body disappear when it gets older. Living in shore reefs, it eats barnacles and sea urchins. Popular for surf fishing. A delicious way to eat this expensive fish is Sashimi.
