Patch／Plum Garden in Kameido

This embroidery patch features Kameido Umeyashiki (Kameido Plum Garden) from One Hundred Famous Views of Edo by the ukiyo-e master Utagawa Hiroshige.

The scene depicts the famous plum garden Seikō-an, owned by a farmer named Kiuemon in Kameido, Edo. The garden became renowned after being praised by Shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune and later gained international fame when Vincent van Gogh created a copy of the print. The striking composition, framed by the twisting branches of a plum tree in bloom, remains one of Hiroshige's most celebrated works.
